3 Ways to Support RAH
1. Donate
RAH's quality of care continues to rank well above both state and national averages. We provide a level of care that is above the basic requirements to assure that our neighbors are cared for with dignity and respect, allowing them to live the best life they can for as long as they can regardless of insurance coverage or ability to pay.
As the only local nonprofit hospice organization, Rockbridge Area Hospice depends on the help and support of our wonderful community. By donating to Rockbridge Area Hospice, you are helping us continue to provide the highest level of quality care to our neighbors who need it most. Thank you for being a neighbor helping a neighbor!

2. Volunteer
Rockbridge Area Hospice volunteers offer support, companionship and practical warmhearted help. Some choose to interact directly with patients and families. Others prefer to work behind the scenes in our administrative office or at our fundraising events held in our community. As a volunteer for RAH, you help determine which tasks you're best suited to perform.
Training is provided at no cost. Daytime, evening and weekend opportunities are available. No experience or medical background is necessary.
For more information, contact our Volunteer Program Manager Christine Hopkins at (540) 463-1848 or christine.hopkins@rahospice.org.

3. Advocate
While we appreciate the ways that our wonderful community advocates for our organization, we also want you to understand the importance of advocating for yourself and your loved ones.
We encourage everyone to speak up and let their wishes be known. Advance care planning is important for both your peace of mind and for the people that you love. Begin your care planning by completing an advance directive, a legal document that generally includes a living will as well as naming a healthcare proxy. If you need help creating an advance directive tailored to your wishes, Rockbridge Area Hospice is here to support you.
If you know someone who is struggling with the stress of an advanced illness, let them know that support is available. Our Connections + program is designed to help those with advanced illness, even if they are still hoping for a cure. Encourage them to contact us for a free consult to learn more.
