Eleanor, a sixth grade student at Linkhorn Middle School in Lynchburg, is the daughter of Hospice supporters and Lynchburg physicians Moira A. Rafferty, MD, and Robert C. Bass, MD, and the granddaughter of Hospice volunteers John and Patricia Rafferty of Rockbridge Baths. Eleanor’s time was 25:42, which placed her 8th in the field of 38 women runners.
